School Dismissal- New Updates, March 26, 5 p.m.

The "Daily Updates" have been changed to New Updates and will be shared only when there is new information. According to Tooele County Emergency Management, there are now four confirmed positive cases of COVID-19 in Tooele County. All are travel related. (For the full update, please click on the title)

Daily Update: March 24, 2020 3:30 p.m.

For today’s daily update, the school district is looking at how the extension for school dismissal to May 1, 2020 will impact students and employees. There are a lot of questions answered in today's update. Please click on the title to read the full article.
According to Tooele County Emergency Management, Tooele County has two confirmed positive cases of COVID-19. Utah is anticipating a spike this week and next week in confirmed COVID-19 cases and we need to be prepared. Please continue to practice social distancing, handwashing, and avoid touching your face.

Daily Update: March 23, 3:30 p.m.

Welcome to the second week of school dismissal. Just a reminder that school dismissal is currently scheduled through to May 1. (For the full update, click on the title)

Daily Update: March 20, 2020 4 p.m.

It has been decided that school dismissal will be extended through Friday, April 10, 2020. During the week of Spring Break, April 6-10, there will be no online instruction and no breakfast or lunch services.(To read the full daily update, click on the title)

Daily Update: March 19, 2020, 3 p.m.

Our faculty and staff continue to work diligently to make sure schools are cleaned and meals are being served to those who need them. Electronic devices and learning packets are still being handed out and will continue through to Friday. Teachers are online and checking-in with students, adding learning resources and making video tutorials.
Parents and students may be receiving multiple emails, and it can feel overwhelming. Please be patient with us. We know there is a lot of information being pushed out and we expect that to normalize shortly. (For more information from today's update click on the title)

Daily Update: March 17, 5:30 p.m.

There have been no new updates from the Tooele County Health Department. As of noon today, there are 51 cases of COVID-19 in Utah. All schools are still on dismissal or “soft closure” until March 27, 2020. (Please click on the title for the rest of the daily updates)

School Dismissal March 16-27, 2020

During a press conference today, Governor Gary Herbert announced all students in the state of Utah will be dismissed from school from March 16-27, 2020 as a preventative measure to help contain the spread of the novel coronavirus, also known as COVID-19. (Click on the title for more information)

Daily Update: March 16, 2020 at 5:30 p.m.

We will try to provide a daily update during the school dismissal. Today faculty came together for Google Classroom training and collaborated on how to effectively continue the learning process while students are at home. We are grateful for all the employees who worked through the weekend and pulled long days in order to ensure our students have learning options during this school dismissal. We were informed that the Tooele County Health Department has confirmed that there has been a positive test for Covid-19 in Tooele County. We were told it was travel-related and that there is no indication of community spread. There is a quarantine in place for the individual and household members. School Dismissal Feeding Plan -Updated

Update: Breakfast is now included. We were approved to make all sites FREE for 18 and younger. There have been some site location changes and additions.
Grab-and-Go lunches are being offered March 17-27, from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. Cash will not be accepted. Only 18 years and younger are able to participate. Lunches can be picked up in the drive-thru or walk-up. Students may go to any site of their choosing. Please look at the flyer for additional information. Thank you.
