TCSD Students and Parents,
The district is working towards a single sign-on system, (SSO), that will allow students to use the same Username and Password for many of the services the district provides. The first step in moving to SSO is for student accounts in Aspire to reflect their district provided email. At the end of next week, Friday, January 29th, all students will have their district-provided email added to the student email field in Aspire. This will probably cause some short-term issues for parents/guardians and teachers who may be using this field to communicate. The Technology Department and Educational Technology Specialists will be working with teachers and secretaries to ensure they are using the best email to communicate with students and parents.
It is imperative that parents/guardians check their ASPIRE accounts and verify that their email address is correct and in the correct field, especially if they currently have their email listed in the student email field. For elementary students, the district provided email will only act as an account to access services and not an actual email. Students in 7th-12th grade will be encouraged to see if they can access their district emails.
For parents/guardians to receive emails from administrators and faculty, there must be a parent/guardians email listed correctly in Aspire.
